Creating a Life Free From Chaos

Emergency Hiatus

My amazing Modern Simplicity Community: I need to take a bit of a break from the blog. As some of you may know, our home burned down last night. My husband, our children, and I are all ok, but we are devastated that we lost all 3 of our fur babies. We ask for and appreciate all prayers. Please note I will be taking a break from social media during this time. If you need to contact me, email, FB messenger or text is best. I’m reading all messages, but please don’t be offended if I don’t respond right away. I’m trying to consider this a new path to an even simpler lifestyle, but for now it’s just shock and numbness.

I’m so sorry! My house burned down when I was 6 and it was pretty devastating. Sending prayers your way.

  2. So sorry to hear of your loss. Saying prayers for you and your family. 🙁

  3. Gosh, Sandy, how horrible : ( I’m a fellow Tribe Writer finally checking out your site and so saddened to learn of this MAJOR disruption in your life and profound temporal loss. I’m offering prayers as well. A line from a hymn comes to mind: “His purposes will ripen fast, unfolding every hour. The bud may have a bitter taste, but sweet will be the flower.” I’ll pray for strength you need beyond your own to cope with the “bitter taste” you’re being forced to presently endure : )

  4. I am so sorry to hear this, Sandy. Praying for you and your family as you recover from this disaster!
